The Strainrite 3:1 Reel with Handle is a rugged, high efficiency geared reel designed to make fencing setup and retrieval faster and easier. Manufactured in New Zealand, it features a durable construction and smooth operation, ideal for managing temporary electric fences using polywire or polytape.
Key Features:
- 3:1 gear ratio – spool rotates three times per handle turn for fast winding
- Reel stabiliser locks and balances reel to the fence wire
- Holds approx. 500m (1640 ft) of polywire or 200m (656 ft) of polytape
- Made from tough UV-resistant, high-impact polymer
- One-piece moulded spool is self-insulated with reinforced fins for added strength
- Includes insulated yellow handle for hand-carry or mounting
- Not recommended for use with steel wire
- Made in New Zealand

1. Shipping Costs
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout. We currently deliver to New Zealand, Australia and the US.
Collection from our depot is possible, however you are required to arrange all shipping and/or pickup costs.
2. Returns
We are happy to take undamaged, unused and unwrapped products back into stock, less a 15% re-stocking fee. The balance will be applied as a credit against your account. Return shipping costs are your expense.
