Styx Battens provide durable fencing solutions for the 21st century. Ideal for new fences or replacing old, damaged battens/droppers, they offer a cost-effective alternative to traditional wooden battens, wire lightning droppers, or insultimber.

Eliminate labour-intensive work with our easy-to-install battens. Simply insert them between wires and secure with a push and click (either by hand or with our wire application tool). No staples required.

Made from high-quality, UV-resistant plastic, our battens won’t rot, splinter, or leach like treated timber. Manufactured from 50% recycled polymer, they reduce landfill waste and are fully recyclable.

As a giant insulator, any or all wires can be electrified, potentially reducing the need for additional insulators. Our patented wire location slot and clip prevent battens from moving along the fence, eliminating the need for barbed wire. Designed to flex and absorb animal impact, they are strong and durable.

Backed by a 5-year warranty against breakage, Styx Battens are available in three options for pre-set wire configurations: 5-7 wire, 6-8 wire, and 3-9 wire. Suitable for 2.50mm diameter wire only, they are not compatible with barbed or No.8 wire.
